:: Concept ::
This time I wanted to create a darker theme with a pixmap bg. Further all control-elements (buttons, scrollbars... etc) should be transparent.
To create this overlay effect and getting it displayed correctly wasn't as easy as I thought it would be and this may cause problems. This makes the theme pretty experimental as well...
:: Contents ::
+ 2xgtk
+ 2xmetacity
+ xfwm4
+ 2xemerald
+ gdm
+ userContent.css (Firefox3)
+ NowPlaying screenlet theme
:: GDM ::
If you have a widescreen monitor, please rename the file "bg-wide.png" to "bg.png" in the gdm-theme directory.
Metacity
Because metacity resizes the titlebar if the title font is too big, I recommend to use the font "snap" as window title font. With other fonts try sizes around 7 and 8.
:: Note ::
To enjoy the theme in all it's sexyness be sure to copy the userContent.css to your firefox profile.
If you find any bugs please let me know (if you have a minute a screenhot would be much appreciated).
The pattern for the bg is from theinspirationgallery.com (modified of course).
:: Screenshot ::
The wallpaper (also used as bg for the gdm-theme) is from mandolux.com (slightly modified by me). Thx again Mando for letting me use it!

How to please....
Thanks very much.
thank you very much
Does anyone have any advice on how to skin the system monitor panel applet as seen in the Bluespace II theme? One thing I miss is having borders around each of the sysmon indicators.
Thanks so much for the best theme ever. It is pixel-perfect in gnome 2.x and even works pretty damn well in the gnome shell of gnome 3.0!
If anybody else was wondering how to get the window background to be used as the background of gnome-terminal (which makes gnome-terminal tie in better with the theme and look pretty darn sweet tbh), the image you want is:
Mirav2/gtk-2.0/Shadows/window-bg.png
Perfect. Thanks again!
I'm currently using the zenburn chrome theme, but if anyone knows anything better I'd love to hear about it.
the input boxes in firefox look kinda bad
Fortunately you can find lots of dark-gnome-theme fixes for firefox on the net.
Here are 2 little howtos: [link] [link]
Maybe this howto will also work (seems outdated though): [link]
What am I doing wrong???
"The wallpaper (also used as bg for the gdm-theme) ..."
Went for a different font though, as Snap was giving me some problems (being a bitmap font). I went for one called "Terminus" I assume I've gotten from some ubuntu package ^_^
Combined it with these icons: [link]
And I must say I like it
Any suggestions on cursors that fit in with the entire theme?

Thanks again for a great piece of work!
How do I change the values in conky weather to imperial from metric?
Thanks for all your hard work...I'm enjoying it.
More infos about the script are here: [link]
thanks
Truly awesome!

also the dark background of my oo-writer page isn't really good looking.
and there are some bad things in firefox: workaround userContent.css isn't pretty: file, checkbox, radio element cannot be designed and the background color of the address and google seach field shouldn't also be dark...

Could you try to solve these "problems"?
this theme feels optimized, it runs very smooth on my slow bucket of junk
